We’re thrilled to share some exciting news at Eclipse LLP—our partnership team is growing! Please join us in welcoming three outstanding professionals who are stepping into new roles as partners with our firm. Each of them brings a unique story, deep expertise, and a strong commitment to their clients and community. We couldn’t be more excited to have them as part of the team.
Doug Currie, CPA, CA
From humble beginnings in a log cabin shortly after the dinosaurs went extinct (his words), Doug Currie has built a decades-long career grounded in expertise, integrity, and exceptional client care.
Doug earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and achieved his Chartered Accountant designation in 1981. After gaining valuable experience in both industry and public practice, he became a partner in Saskatchewan before relocating to Grande Prairie in 1995.
Today, Doug focuses on serving small private corporations, agriculture clients, and personal income tax clients, always with a hands-on and thoughtful approach. Outside of work, Doug is deeply involved in the community through St. Paul’s United Church, Grande Prairie Live Theatre, and past board service with the Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention.
Liza Doll, CPA, CA
Liza Doll brings years of experience working with owner-operator businesses, as well as corporate and personal tax clients. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce from Athabasca University and received her Chartered Accountant designation in 2007. In addition to her client work, Liza is actively involved in the CPA community and currently supports professional development initiatives in the Grande Prairie area. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering them on in their many activities.
Marqus Dunaway, CPA
Although Marqus Dunaway wasn’t born in the Peace Region, it has felt like home for nearly his entire life. After moving to Dawson Creek at the age of two, the community quickly became central to who he is. While university took him elsewhere, the pull of the Peace Region—its people, small-town feel, and wide-open spaces—never faded. Growing up racing motocross in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, Marqus valued being able to pursue those passions without long drives or city congestion. With both his and his wife’s families rooted in the region, returning was an easy decision.
Accounting wasn’t always the plan. After working various labour jobs through high school, Marqus knew he wanted to pursue post-secondary education and enrolled in business at Thompson Rivers University to keep his options open. Everything changed with his first accounting course—the concepts clicked, the work felt natural, and a clear path emerged.
Marqus graduated in April 2021 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in accounting. During his studies, he spent three summers working with the firm as an accounting student, gaining hands-on experience and building strong relationships. After graduating, he joined the firm full-time and earned his CPA designation in March 2024.
Now, as a partner, Marqus brings a practical, community-focused approach to his work and is deeply committed to supporting clients throughout the Peace Region—the place that has shaped both his personal and professional life.
Please join us in welcoming Doug, Liza, and Marqus on this step forward in their careers. We’re proud to have them as partners as we look forward to an exciting 2026!
